Welcome to Oddball Rhodesian Ridgebacks. We’re a small Rhodesian Ridgeback breeder located in Utah County in Utah state. We currently own just one Rhodesian Ridgebacks – Arwen. We are involved in both AKC conformation and AKC lure coursing though we plan on expanding to ASFA, agility and obedience. We love our Rhodesian Ridgebacks and we think that we have something to add to the breed with our exemplary dogs and so we have joined the RR breeding world. Learn more about our human family, our Rhodesian Ridgebacks and our philosophy (below), or read about the breed on our articles page.

What we would like to achieve with the Rhodesian Ridgebacks we produce:

We feel that too many Ridgebacks today do not hold up to the original Rhodesian Ridgeback standard. The original dogs were all-purpose. They guarded the home, played with the kids, tracked and chased lions and other wild game, they were intelligent and loyal and extremely athletic. Many of the RRs you see today aren’t nearly this well-rounded. However, we would like to achieve this ideal with our Rhodesian Ridgebacks. An all-purpose dog that not only excels in performance venues, but also having exemplary conformation, fantastic health and a family-friendly temperament. We believe we have the foundation stock to meet this high standard and hope to deliver quality puppies to your home that will be up to whatever job you want to give them. Our Rhodesian Ridgebacks will be “Oddballs” in a good way, we hope.

“So what’s up with the name? Why oddball?”

Although we are serious about taking good care of our dogs and training them well, we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Raising our dogs isn’t a business to us – they are part of the family.
